Beginners 1, 2 and 3 Courses
Through practical situations, we will introduce you to the basics of the French language, allowing you to develop all four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Part of the curriculum includes how to be polite, the use of the present tense, how to introduce yourself or others in detail, how to count, how to talk about time (time of day, date, etc.), how to describe. The objective of the Beginner 3 course is to practice what was learned in Beg 1 and 2 in realistic situations.

Elementary Courses
You’ll continue learning more grammar including other tenses. You will also learn how to express your feelings and which words to use depending on the purpose of the dialogue.

Intermediate Courses
At this level, you have acquired a certain confidence. However, you still have some gaps. Courses at this level aim at filling these gaps mainly through work on prepositions and pronouns (all these little words that are confusing but that are used a lot!).

Advanced Conversations
In this level, you are considered able to speak French, even if you still make some mistakes. The topic of conversations will vary. A lot of activities will help you improve your comprehension as well. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun.

If you know someone who would like to take English courses in our area, you can let them know about the Nanaimo Language Centre where you can send a message. The Centre can also be reached at (250) 816-5698.
