  The AFN is a non-profit organization mandated to respond to the needs and expectations of the Francophones and Francophiles population of the Nanaimo region.


MISSION STATEMENT

 

Gather and unite Francophones and Francophiles of the Nanaimo region.

 

Organize and promote various cultural activities.

 

Promote the French language and culture.

 

Maintain links of cooperation and exchange with other organizations having similar goals.

 

Make a positive and lasting contribution in the community, economically, socially and culturally.

An Action Plan to attract French-speaking tourists to the Nanaimo area

Vision: The Nanaimo area will be known, nationally and internationally, as the destination of choice for French-speaking tourists in British Columbia.

Goal: To maximize the contribution that the tourism and cultural sector makes to the Nanaimo economy by positioning it as a competitive and appealing destination for the French-speaking market.
